Our Fairytale Ride to the Best Places to Work Gala

Trueliners representing at the Best Places to Work Awards Dinner
On a picturesque autumn evening, eight of Trueline’s best and brightest piled into a black SUV, bound for Augusta. Their mission: to represent our fair company at the 2019 Best Places to Work (BPTW) Gala.
And represent they did.
For the fourth year in a row, Trueline was one of 100 Maine-based companies to make the list. The results are based on anonymous surveys submitted by employees, covering everything from work culture to management to office accommodations to whether or not the company hosts an annual all-staff rafting trip (oh, we do).
This year’s contingent—Sean O’Reilly, Liz Fallon, Ian Nichols, Caroline Crasnick, Amy Nimon, Matthew Warner, Daniel Rios and Dan Horton—represented what Trueline is all about: community, comradery and (in the interest of alliteration) constant fun. There was banter. A fine feast was served. And the event photo booth didn’t know what hit it. Any guesses who’s wearing the horse mask?
Attending the Gala for the second time, Editorial Director Ian Nichols says he was impressed with the event’s production quality and laid-back vibes.
“We wouldn’t be here without the Trueline family, and I feel so lucky to work with this ridiculous, hard-working bunch. Wepa!” – Haj Carr, Trueline CEO
“There was a lot of company spirit: costumes, balloons, party gear, noisemakers—it was a genuine party,” Nichols says. “We’re definitely bringing extra props next year. We want everyone to know which is the most fun-loving group.”
While Trueline didn’t quite crack the top 10 in the small-business category, rest assured we have our sights set on making it to the stage in 2020.
Good luck getting us to leave.
“All jokes aside—and we do love to have fun—we’ve worked so hard to support our employees,” says our CEO, Haj Carr. “On the flip side, we wouldn’t be here without the Trueline family, and I feel so lucky to work with this ridiculous, hard-working bunch. Wepa!”
