This report covers 122 closed searches across the 25 markets where Trueline Talent closed five or more roles this quarter. We set that threshold so every market in the data reflects real placement volume, not one-off activity. Across those markets, the construction desk moved fast on the roles clients need most, and the data shows exactly where.

  • Superintendents were the busiest search. They accounted for 27 of the 122 placements (22%), more than any other role, at an average salary of $114,796 and an average time to fill of 7.7 days, close to the report-wide average.
  • Leadership roles command the biggest premium. VP of Construction placements averaged $212,000, nearly double the report-wide average, followed by Commercial PM ($140,500) and Director of Construction ($129,778). These same senior roles also tended to take the longest to fill, Director of Construction searches averaged 11.1 days and VP of Construction 10.8 days, versus 7–8 days for field-level roles like Superintendent and Foreman.
  • Field and estimating roles filled fastest. Electrical Superintendent (7.0 days average), Superintendent (7.7 days), and Foreman (7.8 days) were the quickest categories to close, reflecting deeper, more liquid candidate pools in those trades.
  • Placements were spread evenly across the map. Every one of the 25 markets in the sample had at least five closed searches, from Atlanta and Boston to Denver, Seattle, and Las Vegas, underscoring Trueline Talent's reach rather than reliance on any single region.
  • A handful of searches ran long. The slowest fill was a VP of Construction search in Kansas City, MO at 28 days, followed by a Director of Construction search in Tampa, FL at 24 days—both senior, market-specific searches where the qualified candidate pool is naturally smaller.
