Managing Editor Jeanee Dudley Honored at Folio: 30 Under 30 Reception
The names are in for this year’s Folio:30 Under 30 – an awards luncheon that celebrates the best and brightest rising stars in publishing who are shaping and innovating the media industry.
Jeanee Dudley, the managing editor of all three of our magazines, was honored at the awards ceremony during the Folio: Show on Oct. 21, at the Marriot Marquis in New York City.
The honorees are also featured in the October issue of Folio: Magazine. Folio is dedicated to providing magazine publishing professionals with news, insights and best practices to keep them in tune with today’s media industry trends. From its print magazine, Folio: Magazine, which has been dubbed the “43-year-old industry bible,” to Folio’s webinars, events and online content, the company is changing the way publishers connect with their readers.
The annual Folio: 30 Under 30 list strives to find nominees who are executing innovative ideas. As our newly appointed managing editor, Jeanee continues to improve our magazines every day.
Upon stepping into her new role, Jeanee completely restructured our production and proofing process. She sat down with company leadership to create a system allowing for better communication across departments and more checkpoints in the editing process without losing precious client one-on-one time.
The new production process allows for more detailed storytelling, incorporating follow-up interviews and more time to build relationships with clients. The proofing process now incorporates more key people, but in an efficient way. This collaborative editing process brings together writers, designers, editorial directors and administrative staff to ensure the final product is something we’re proud to share.
In the last six months, we’ve seen a huge amount of positive feedback from other employees and even more importantly, clients. Feature companies are happier with the articles we put together and the final product. We are generating better stories that express brand identity and captivate the correct target audience.
We’re so proud of you, Jeanee! Congrats on a job well done and an honor well deserved!
